Indonesian Adventure- Lake with an area of 9,360 hectares is the largest lake in Papua. Located about 50 km from downtown Jayapura, Sentani Lake offers incredible beauty. There are at least 21 islands that adorn the lake with a height of 75 meters above sea level.

What is interesting is the annual event that is the Lake Sentani Festival which is usually held in mid-June. At the festival, tourist attractions in Papua will be crammed full of tourists who want to see a variety of performing arts and local culture. Fish species contained in Lake Sentani identified about 20 species, where 10 of which is a fish production( catfish, mas, mujaer, indigo, sepat conjoined, tambakan, carp, nilem, Tawes and red eye). Number of fish populations in Lake Sentani seems to dominated by native fish such as: humen, cork, gete- gete and hewu. From several types of fish to date stay alive in Lake Sentani shows that the water conditions on the lake is still good enough to fish life. Some fish species capable of life is known is a fish species that remain able to survive on the water conditions that ugly. As fish cork( Pogonelcotris microps) and catfish( Clanas batracus) a fixed able to survive on the waters with DO < 5 mg/ L and this species have a respiratory organs additional to survive in the bad condition though.
